Many Roads Less Traveled
Maddie has always taken the road less traveled. Raised as a military brat, moving every few years, she has grown to crave adventure, seek out new experiences, and most importantly, dance to the beat of her own drum. In 2017, she received a BA in Theatre - Performance and a BS in Community, Environment, and Development from the Pennsylvania State University. Shortly after graduation, she moved to Atlanta, GA and took on the role of Marketing Manager for the critically-acclaimed Synchronicity Theatre. After a few years she felt the pull to work in marine conservation and education, so she moved to Crawfordville, Florida to work for the Florida State University Coastal and Marine Laboratory as their Outreach and Education Coordinator.
When the COVID-19 global pandemic hit, Maddie moved home to Johnstown, Pennsylvania and prepped for a new career move. She received her Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate and landed her next job as a Native English Language Assistant in Elche, Spain, where she lived until September 2023. Back in the United States, and currently residing in Florida, Maddie is preparing to move back to Atlanta and transition back into the theatre realm. No matter what or where life may take her, she always finds her way back to the stage! Her biggest passion is to create theatre that sparks community connection and conversation, with a special interest in Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) Shakespeare performances and education.
